Enlightened Medialities

Enlightened Medialities explores the communicative practices, media, and intellectual networks that shaped the Greek-speaking Republic of Letters during the long eighteenth century. Based on historical biographical and bibliographical lists and narrative accounts from 1705 to 1832, this research data collection brings together structured records on approximately 800 scholars and their associated educational institutions.

By connecting people, institutions, and historical sources in a queryable knowledge base, the project enables researchers to investigate the circulation of knowledge, the formation of intellectual communities, and the changing relationship between scholarship, print culture, and the Modern Greek Enlightenment. Explore the data, follow the connections, and build upon this resource in your own research.
